Writing the prescription

What to include on a compound Rx

  • Active ingredients and strengths, for example diclofenac 5%, gabapentin 6%
  • Dosage form: cream, transdermal gel, suspension, drops, mouthwash, troche, capsule
  • Quantity and sig as usual
  • Relevant constraints: dye-free, allergen to avoid, flavour preference for paediatrics

Prefer to delegate the formulation? Write the clinical goal, mark it for pharmacist proposal, and we return options with strengths and references for your approval before anything is prepared.

We dispense through Kroll on PharmaNet, screen interactions against the patient's record, and copy you on anything clinically relevant.

Beyond compounding

  • Low-dose atropine 0.01 to 0.05 percent for myopia control, refills scheduled to beyond-use dates. Details
  • Medication reviews with PharmaNet screening, findings reported back to you.
