Compounded Pain Management

Custom topical and transdermal pain preparations — applied directly to the affected area for targeted relief with reduced systemic side effects compared to oral medications.

Targeted relief, where it is needed

Topical and transdermal pain preparations are applied directly to the skin over the affected area, delivering active ingredients locally. This approach concentrates medication where it is needed and reduces the risk of the systemic side effects commonly associated with oral pain medications such as NSAIDs or opioids.

Our pharmacists prepare each formulation to the prescribing physician's specification — selecting the appropriate active ingredients, concentrations, and base to suit the patient's condition.

Custom-prepared eye drops including preservative-free formulations, atropine for myopia control, and specialised concentrations not available in commercial products.

Low-Dose Atropine for Myopia Management in Children

Low-dose atropine eye drops are a clinically established option for slowing myopia progression in children. Commercial atropine drops are not available at the low concentrations required for myopia control — compounding allows us to prepare them at the precise strength prescribed by the treating optometrist or ophthalmologist.

We stock and prepare atropine sulphate eye drops in several low-dose concentrations, available for immediate patient use on receipt of a valid prescription.

All concentrations are prepared in 10 mL vials. A valid prescription from a licensed prescriber is required. Physicians and optometrists may fax prescriptions directly to our pharmacy.

Preservative-Free Formulations

Many patients with dry eye, chronic conditions, or sensitive eyes cannot tolerate the preservatives (such as benzalkonium chloride) present in commercial eye drops. We prepare preservative-free alternatives for a range of ophthalmic medications.

Reformulations, Paediatric & Custom Formulations

Allergen-free, lactose-free, and custom dosage forms — including oral liquids and suspensions for children and adults who require medications not available in standard commercial form.

Medications designed for each patient

Children frequently require medications at doses, concentrations, or in forms that are not commercially available. Tablets cannot be split accurately to achieve the correct paediatric dose, and many children are unable to swallow capsules. Compounding allows our pharmacists to prepare the exact dose in a child-friendly form — typically an oral liquid or suspension — at the concentration prescribed by the physician.

💧

Oral Liquids & Suspensions

Convert solid dosage forms into liquids at precise paediatric concentrations with appropriate flavouring.

🚫

Allergen-Free

Remove lactose, gluten, dyes, specific preservatives, or other ingredients that a patient cannot tolerate.

Weight-based dosing for neonates, infants, and children — prepared to the prescribing physician's specification.

🔄

Discontinued Products

Reformulate commercially discontinued medications that patients still require for ongoing treatment.

Custom Formulation Options

We can reformulate a wide range of medications into suspensions, liquids, and other forms. The following are commonly requested — this list is not exhaustive. Please contact us or submit an HCP referral to discuss a specific patient's needs.
